Wilde Rench 68, Bad Peterstal-Griesbach
It's really cozy. The staff is friendly and the breakfast delicious.
Unfortunately, I can't say so much about the location except that Tuesday and Wednesday are now closed. After all, you can rest briefly on the bench in front of it and take a cool self-service drink from the fridge (with a trust fund). Basically, I understand the rest days, but it is annoying when you are looking forward to a lunch break with your family and children in front of closed doors.
Very nicely situated pension in the beautiful Black Forest. You are welcomed in a friendly manner and immediately feel at home. Large rooms with bathroom and balcony. Great cuisine, good wines. The hostess reads every wish from your eyes. We will definitely come back.
We stopped there on our hike after lunchtime and were surprised to be able to order lunch anyway. We opted for the venison goulash with spaetzle and have not regretted this decision. The service was very friendly and the prices reasonable or even cheap
Nicely located. Unfortunately I couldn't stop because of time constraints
Very tasty cake and nice service.
Very nice location. Tasty solid local cuisine
A good stop on the walk, great coffee
Very friendly and courteously friendly, delicious food and the Black Forest cake: a poem! Recommendation: the Wiesensteig plate. Located directly on the Wiesensteig, a stop is almost a must.
Very disappointed now to be honest. I can understand but don't agree with ripping off tourists who probably won't come back anyway. But locals? Despite the reduction in VAT the prices have increased significantly since they reopened, for example a €6 ice cream is now €7,50 and it is across the board. We asked for the menu to check deserts and saw the €6 price so went with it. Upon receiving the bill we were a bit shocked so questioned the increases and were told "It's because of Corona, you weren't supposed to see the price list." There are no signs to say you will pay a massive 25% surcharge because of Corona so you don't have the chance to make your own decisions. We've been waiting since lockdown began to be able to get back but now they've blown it, we won't return as there is a restaurant owned by a 5 star hotel just s couple of kilometres away that is much cheaper. Sorry, screw the tourists if that is your preference but screw the regulars who support you through the winter months and you know where you can shove your restaurant. Also the tables weren't being disinfected quickly so some people arrived to sit at dirty tables and at no time were we checked to see if we had completed the online registration for tracing purposes. People without mobile phones didn't register at all so the restaurant is something of s Corona black hole. I know this complaint is 100% Corona related and under more normal circumstances it would never have happened, but we are currently not in s normal world.
Eat delicious.
Had two wonderful days before Christmas Breakfast buffet was good and two meals in the inn was great and the hosts were super nice! Will definitely come again.
Very nice holiday pension in the middle of nature! Located right on the Wiesensteig trail! Super delicious food and great breakfast buffet! Very nice hosts!
Friendly. Cool for the mountaineers and we eat well.
Secluded hotel just great to find peace and enjoy. The rooms are a bit slow in the time but clean and everything is there. The food is good bourgeois, the portions are large and it tastes very good. Sit outside in summer and enjoy the view alone, this is worth a visit. The service very friendly and accommodating. Any time. Top ?
High-altitude guesthouse with outdoor management at the end of an often narrow road along the wild Rench. The way is worth it: Homely restaurant, very tasty food and friendly service ... here you can feel completely comfortable. Reservation makes sense. Toilets in the basement (on request also at ground level). WLAN for house guests. Enough parking in front of the house. Also hikers and coffee guests are welcome. Gladly again.
This is the perfect place for a rest. There is very good food, delicious drinks, great service and a great view. Often it is the boss herself who takes care of the well-being of her guests in the family-run hotel. Of course, it is most beautiful when you hike to Herbstwasen or ride your bike. Regardless of this, the house is very easy to reach by car. There are parking spaces right in front of the house, so that this could also be the starting point for a tour or hike. The Höhengasthaus Herbstwasen is ideal for many beautiful bike and hiking tours through the Black Forest. And if you particularly like it, you can stay longer and take a room here.
Great restaurant in a wonderful hiking area! The restaurant is located directly on the wonderful gourmet trail wiesensteig! There are delicious local dishes, but also classics. If you want you can also book a room there, and let yourself be pampered! The lady of the house was super nice
Great location! Great view from the terrace. Attention - do not move tables - that attracts the displeasure of the owners after. Otherwise, quite friendly. The food rather well, to my ham / mushroom spaetzle gabs a kind of sauce, which had the same number of wrinkles as the dignified aged tomatoes in the salad of my wife.
The food was very good. We did not have to pay attention to the time during our hike on the Wiesensteig because in the afternoon warm food is served.
Nice, quiet location at the end of the Renchtal, wonderful terrace with a view. Unfortunately big city prices (iced coffee 5.50 EUR) and slow service (approx. 15 minutes waiting time until someone came)
